OIL PAINTING
WORKSHOPS are
offered throughout the year in the Marin studio. Each workshop consists
of three hours of instruction
given one day a week during a five-week period. Each of these workshops,
which are offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays, are suitable for
all levels
of experience since individual attention is emphasized in classes not to
exceed five people. Students are welcome to paint any subject of their
choice using personal photos, reference material from the studio or still
life set-ups.
Critiques of a student’s “out of studio” work are also
offered. Even true beginners soon realize that this is a very supportive
environment where we have a good time while we all learn new ideas from
each other.
Donna adds - “ Teaching is very rewarding for me – some of these
painters have been coming to my studio since I started teaching fourteen years
ago. Many had never painted before and now they are selling and entering
shows. Other’s are just beginning and having a wonderful time – I
feel that I have four parties a week. What could be better? “
PLEIN AIR WORKSHOPS are offered periodically during the year at picturesque locations in the Bay area. These workshops vary from one day to three days and are suitable to all levels of experience.

Reine Taylor Studio, surrounded by hills of designated “open space”, is located on a San Rafael ridge overlooking the San Francisco Bay in Marin County, California. The studio's French doors open onto the outside garden courtyard where students often take relaxing breaks from their painting lessons.
